Andrew Lord

Andrew is an Intern Architect at ERA and a graduate of the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. His education included a semester in Rome and time in England doing field research for a graduate thesis exploring the ramifications of the loss of ornament in architecture following modernist movements towards minimal and international styles. 

Andrew’s professional experience has been based in Toronto and includes work on high-rise residential, mixed-use projects and masterplans. His current work focuses on custom single-family homes, heritage additions and renovations. Andrew uses his deep understanding of software workflows to produce drawings and deliver designs inspired by his passion for an urban architecture that is human-scaled and sensitive to local context.
