<\/a><\/p>\n The Centre for Urban Growth and Renewal (CUG+R) is pleased to announce the release of two reports examining public health, urban policy, and neighbourhood rejuvenation in Toronto:<\/p>\n In partnership with United Way Toronto<\/a> and Toronto Public Health<\/a> respectively, these reports further research, policy development, and practical strategies to help achieve the potential of Tower Neighbourhood Renewal.<\/p>\n Strong Neighbourhoods and Complete Communities<\/em>, developed with United Way Toronto, identifies key zoning and policy barriers preventing neighbourhood investment, local economic development, and community initiatives; and proposes alternative policy frameworks to enable positive neigjhbourhood change moving forward.<\/p>\n Toward Healthy Apartment Neighbourhoods<\/em>, developed with Toronto Public Health, assesses Toronto’s apartment neighbourhoods in relation to eight key health themes, and develops a series of specific design strategies for more healthy, better served, and complete apartment communities across the city.<\/p>\n\n
