Alex Okuka completed her Masters of Architecture at University of Toronto after receiving her Bachelor\u2019s degree at Carleton University. Her graduate thesis explored a design for the existing Artist\u2019s Residency on Toronto Island. The design proposes an environmental solution to coastal erosion in the form of a groyne field, while incorporating the architecture of the artist’s commune.<\/p>\n
Prior to joining ERA, Alex worked on a variety of residential, commercial, and civil projects; with a focus in the design and programming of the new Guelph Public Library. Alex is interested in the adaptive re-use of existing buildings and has been involved in several projects at ERA that strive to provide housing through the rehabilitation of existing buildings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
