Forma
A Landmark Collaboration with Frank Gehry
En Français >Located at 266 King Street West in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, Forma is a transformative two-tower residential and mixed-use development designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. Developed by Great Gulf, Dream Unlimited, and Westdale Properties, this ambitious project marks Gehry’s tallest residential creation globally and his first high-rise in his hometown of Toronto.
The development features two towers that will redefine the city skyline with their sculptural forms and innovative design. Forma will include luxury residences, premium amenities, creative coworking spaces, and cultural programming, all within walking distance of Toronto’s most vibrant arts and entertainment venues.
A key cultural component of the project is the inclusion of OCAD University’s new “Princess of Wales Centre for Visual Arts.”
As the heritage consultant, ERA is guiding the project’s integration with Toronto’s rich cultural and architectural fabric. Our work includes a comprehensive conservation strategy for the glazed terra cotta of the former Anderson Building, as well as maintaining the prominence of the adjacent Royal Alexandra Theatre. ERA previously collaborated with Gehry on the revitalization of the Art Gallery of Ontario, bringing deep experience in balancing innovation with heritage stewardship.
