Brodie House

Brodie House

The Brodie House is at a unique interface of the Headford business park and the residential neighbourhood to the west. The site’s historic and visual connection to the Headford United Church is contrasted with contemporary residential and industrial development. The Brodie House is a place-making opportunity to connect Richmond Hill’s distinct heritage to its contemporary context.

ERA was retained to provide a thorough understanding of the condition of this heritage resource and deliver an adaptive re-use strategy document that will provide a series of options and phasing approaches that the municipality can choose to undertake. The study objectives are to provide a thorough analysis of the viability of each strategy and a schedule of related improvements and repairs. This goal is rooted in furthering civic pride, community identity and place-making.
