Zeina Ahmed

Zeina is an urban planner at ERA. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Planning and holds an undergraduate degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining ERA, Zeina’s graduate research focused on urban design and the built form, public space equity, and community-initiated planning endeavors. She has also been involved in developing strategies for anti-displacement and is passionate about supporting place identity initiatives. In addition to her experience in planning contexts in Toronto, her U.S. – based work has involved supporting community capacity building planning workshops for small cities and towns around the country. Zeina approaches planning and design issues with humanity, using her skills in marketing, communications and art to understand, enhance, and help convey the inherent value and vibrancy of people and places.
