Tupac Espinoza
Tupac is a well-rounded professional with over 15 years of experience in sustainable architecture, landscape design, construction management, and project development. He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in Managua, while serving as a diplomat and civil servant for ten years with the Nicaraguan Government in Europe and Nicaragua.
Before joining ERA Architects, Tupac enhanced public and private spaces in Ontario as a landscape designer. His architectural work in Nicaragua focused on reducing environmental impacts, resolving social issues, and generating grassroots economic opportunities. He has led participatory processes with communities and stakeholders to improve sustainable living conditions, collaborating with private, governmental, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurs.
At ERA Architects, Tupac has pioneered the use of drones, Lidar scanners, and VR headsets for heritage conservation and project documentation. His projects range from developing intricate construction details to engaging communities through participatory design processes.
As an advanced drone pilot and co-founder of Aerial TO, in collaboration with ERA, Tupac provides innovative drone services for the construction industry and enhances community engagement through digital technologies. He continually explores the interconnection between existing buildings, emerging technologies, and sustainability, utilizing digital documentation and drone operations for renovation and preservation projects.
