Simone Gargano

Simone holds a Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Interior and Public Spaces Design from La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. His published graduate thesis developed a bridge train station that incorporated intermodal hub and cultural functions to connect Rome with one of its most important archeological sites and serve as a strategic point of connection with Rome’s main airport and harbour.
After working in various architecture firms, Simone worked in the field of participatory urbanism and contemporary public art, writing and developing site (and people) specific projects in marginalized neighbourhoods of Rome. This experience nurtured Simone’s keen interest for the social and contextual aspects architecture and design. Since moving to Toronto, Simone has had the opportunity to work on various residential projects and the adaptive reuse of rural historical architecture, gaining a great deal of on-site experience.
Simone brings his love for community engagement, curiosity, and passion for history and culture to his work with ERA.
