Sharon Hong

Sharon Hong is an Associate with the planning team at ERA. She incorporates narrative analysis of a place’s evolution and urban morphology to inform design strategies and positive city building outcomes. Sharon’s extensive public and private sector experience and understanding of municipal approvals processes also informs her creative solutions to complex applications involving heritage properties. Her research on how contemporary design solutions are informed by traditional values and relationships to land in Seoul, South Korea, has been published by Routledge UK. As an uninvited guest living and working on traditional indigenous territory, Sharon is committed to learning about and observing her Treaty obligations.

Sharon holds a Master of Science in Planning from the University of Toronto and is a registered professional planner.
