Catherine Riddell
Catherine Riddell is a cultural heritage planner at ERA Architects with experience managing municipal and provincial heritage projects. She brings a strong grounding in local and international conservation principles, informed by an understanding of Canadian and international charters, as well as global best practices.
Her work is guided by an interest in interpretation and creative problem-solving. She connects people with the layered histories of places through thoughtful, values-based approaches to conservation and planning, and works across ERA’s teams to integrate heritage understanding into contemporary contexts.
Catherine holds a Specialist Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art History from Trinity College at the University of Toronto and is an active member of the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH), and the Furniture History Society (FHS). Her work reflects a commitment to advancing the stewardship and interpretation of cultural heritage through practice grounded in careful research and thoughtful interpretation.
