Since joining ERA in 2014, Alexis has worked collaboratively with complex project teams using historical research and analysis to inform the conservation of evolving urban environments. Alexis is trained as an architectural historian and holds a PhD in Architectural History from Princeton University and a BA in Art History and English Literature from the University of Toronto. Alexis’ research has been supported by several grants and fellowships, including the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, the Yale Center for British Art, and the Getty Conservation Institute.
As a Senior Associate at ERA Architects, Alexis manages a wide-range of heritage projects involving extensive historic research, planning studies, commemoration strategies, and public consultation.
