Visit the Markham House!

by ERA Architects

markhamhouseThis Saturday, September 19, 2015, Mirvish Village will be hosting the grand opening of the Markham House, located at 610 Markham Street. Doors will open from 11:00am to 6:00pm, providing guests the opportunity to revel in an abundance of festivities. There will be food and drinks presented by tasty cafes and restaurants from the Annex and Mirvish Village area, and beautiful music organized by the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival.

The opening of this city building lab gives people a chance to learn more about Mirvish Village. The Markham House is designed as a community hub that focuses on educating people about the redevelopment of the property, which includes Honest Ed’s and Mirvish Village. It’s opening will allow those interested to meet and greet redevelopment team members. Guests are encouraged to bring their pressing questions, as helpful staff members look forward to addressing people’s concerns and queries regarding the future of the neighbourhood. So join us in celebrating and commemorating city building and Mirvish Village’s inspiring past and promising future.

Entertainment includes the launch of Gerald Pisarzowski’s photography exhibition, “Mirvish Village People,” revolving exhibitions by Spacing Magazine, Curbside Cycle, and the Charlotte Hale Gallery, and other exciting events for all ages. And remember: bike, don’t drive! CycleTO will be providing Bike Valet for those visiting the Markham House and exploring the Mirvish Village Sidewalk Street Sale.
