Raluca Dobrotescu

Raluca Dobrotescu is an Intern Architect at ERA, with an academic background in heritage engineering. Her thesis centred on creating a framework to ensure the ongoing maintenance of existing buildings. It delved into the process of researching, surveying, and documenting the condition of buildings in order to properly determine the corrective and preventive maintenance work required.

Prior to joining ERA, Raluca has worked on heritage conservation projects in both the private and public sector. She was also involved in international projects, such the Bagan Workshop in 2018, where she participated in the documentation of a number of Buddhist temples in Bagan, Myanmar, and a project with the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 2019-2020 to create a set of policies and standards for heritage conservation with case study examples.

Raluca Dobrotescu est une architecte stagiaire chez ERA ayant une formation universitaire en ingénierie du patrimoine. Sa thèse portait sur la création d’un processus permettant d’assurer l’entretien continu des bâtiments existants. Elle se penche sur le processus de recherche, d’étude et de documentation de l’état des bâtiments permettant de déterminer adéquatement les travaux d’entretien correctifs et préventifs nécessaires.

Avant de rejoindre ERA, Raluca a travaillé sur des projets de conservation du patrimoine dans les secteurs privé et public. Elle a également participé à des projets internationaux, tels que l’atelier de Bagan en 2018, où elle a participé à la documentation d’un certain nombre de temples bouddhistes à Bagan, au Myanmar. Elle a aussi collaboré sur un projet avec le département de la culture et du tourisme d’Abu Dhabi, aux Émirats arabes unis, de 2019 à 2020, visant à créer un ensemble de politiques et de normes encadrant la conservation du patrimoine, et ce à l’aide d’études de cas.
