Nicole Burdynewicz

Nicole is part of the architectural practice group at ERA and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). Her academic work focusses on building science, energy efficiency, social and ecological sustainability, as well as a more holistic approach to designing and assessing the impact of buildings in the urban environment. She also has experience with heritage BIM and the modeling of building renovations within Revit, both in 3D and extractable information.

Previously, Nicole worked in forensic engineering at T Smith Engineering as a student, in which she primarily assessed and modeled damaged buildings due to fires, flooding, envelope failures, and impact damage. She was also part of Ryerson’s robotics team where she has worked on both graphic and mechanical design including the design and manufacture of flexible wheels and an extending arm, as well as the team branding and document design.
